Pedram Mizani, MD, MHSAMD, MHSA
CEO
Dr. Pedram Mizani was raised in Southern California. He obtained his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Biology and Chemistry from California State University Fullerton (Fullerton, California), his Masters in Health Services Administration from St. Joseph’s College of Maine (Standish, Maine), and his Medical Degree from St. Matthews University School of Medicine (Belize, Central America). As a senior medical student looking to secure residency interviews in 2001, Dr. Mizani’s search for a reliable source to help him navigate through the challenges of securing a primary care residency position proved to be unsuccessful. Dr. Mizani had no other choice but to rise to the occasion and create a system that would help distinguish him amongst the tens of thousands of other highly qualified residency candidates. Dr. Mizani’s system proved so effective that he received 7 residency offers; he completed his internship at Floyd Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program (Rome, Georgia) and later graduated as the Chief Resident from Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine (Atlanta, Georgia) in 2004.
Dr. Pedram Mizani’s innovation, perseverance, and resilience paved the path for thousands of other International Medical Graduates to do the same. Combining his invaluable experiences before, during, and after medical residency with a vast nationwide network of teaching attending physicians who share his vision, Dr. Mizani and his team founded AmeriClerkships Medical Society in 2007, then Advanced Colleges of America in 2009. To date, Dr. Mizani and his team have played a vital role in the success of hundreds of U.S. medical residents and practicing physicians.
